A day in the life of Jo…

Most mornings I like to go to the gym first thing, as with all good intentions I rarely make it later on…

When I’m not in the studio or having meetings I’ll catch up on the news and daily goings on in a light hearted kind of way, a bit of news and fashion, cooking tips on This Morning followed by a good old gossip on Loose Women. I know so much about those women I feel like they’re my personal friends!!

If I have time I catch up on my housework – I take pride in a clean home and like to have all my clothes neatly ironed (I have even been known to colour coordinate my dresses, oops! ) My role as the housewife crosses over to the handy man sometimes, I’ll have a go at anything around the house…

My real passion is music…when I’m not listening to it, I’m singing, writing or dancing to it…it really reflects my mood.The artist I’m most hooked on at the minute is Adele. I think she has an amazing soulful voice her lyrics are beautiful and she has put music back were it belongs..  Good songs by a good singer!

The singer who inspired me to want to sing was Whitney Houston and I still love to put her albums on now.. I know every word to every song!

I do like a good book when I get the time to concentrate as I get lost in them sometimes.. The last book I read was an autobiography which I like ‘cos I’m nosey but my favourite author is Mitch Albion his books are magical yet genuine. Five People You Meet In Heaven along with Tuesday With Morrie and For One More Day have all left me feeling quite touched and emotional!

Then comes my favourite pastime…food!! I enjoy cooking but enjoy eating even more so!….My ideal night out is a really nice restaurant with good food, wine and company.I try my best to be healthy but I do confess to the odd take away every now and then, and my guilty pleasure is of course chocolate! Mmmh….

Like most women I like a good shop.. dresses, shoes, handbags, cosmetics, basically anything girly.. I tend to shop where my purse allows me and then wander around the shops I can’t afford thinking: “One day I’m gonna come in here and buy what I want”

As I say I love anything girly which is why I love to hang out with my girlfriends!! Anything from a lunch to an evening to just sitting around with a cuppa and having a good old natter.

Whilst I know I’m a talker I also like to think I’m a good listener and I always have time for my family and friends when they need a shoulder to lean on. When out with the girls we start off by catching up on everything and everyone then have a good giggle and dancing around our handbags…my party piece is the caterpillar!! ) Even though my husband insists I’m really not that good at it , but that doesn’t stop me throwing one in at the end of a good party!!

I do a lot socially with my husband, we do our best to make sure we see as much of each other as we can, so we work our social life around our busy careers..Although I have lived in London for over five years now I get home to Liverpool as much as possible as I have a very close-knit family and love to spend as much time with them as I can.
